Tragedy Without Words
I don't think any words can describe how horriffic the Virginia Tech shootings were. I am having a hard time even following the news coverage because it upsets me so much to see it and acknowledge it is real. Call me naive, but the fact that some people have so much hate in their hearts continues to confound me.
This story has connection to me through my Penn State connection - one of the graduate students killed completed his undergrad education at Penn State. His parents were on TV last night talking about their son and his happy times at Penn State. I can't even imagine what courage it took to do this.
As we head north this weekend to State College for Blue/White, let's celebrate the lives of our fallen peers by joining the effort to wear maroon and orange.
